Colonial Heights is celebrating its centennial in 2026 with a yearlong “CH100” celebration featuring festivals, concerts, block parties, and community events.  

Here are some of the major events tied to the 100-year anniversary:

• 50th Annual Fort Clifton Festival — May 9–10, 2026
  One of the city’s biggest traditions, featuring arts & crafts vendors, live entertainment, food, Civil War history exhibits, and family activities at Fort Clifton Park. This year’s festival is also part of the CH100 celebration.  
• Fort Clifton After Dark — May 9, 2026
  An evening celebration during festival weekend with entertainment and special CH100 activities.  
• Summer Block Party Series — June 2026
  Neighborhood-style celebrations at parks like Flora Hill Park and Edinborough Park with music, food, and community activities.  
• Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration — July 4, 2026
  A patriotic summer event included in the centennial calendar.  
• National Night Out — August 2026
  Community safety and neighborhood celebration event as part of the anniversary year.  
• Harbor Blast Concert Series
  Colonial Heights’ popular live music series along the Appomattox River is also expected to be included in the city’s centennial programming.  

The city has said more commemorative events will be announced throughout the year as part of “Celebrating 100 Years Together: CH100.”
